Metro Manila, Rizal warned of rotating blackouts
MANILA, Philippines – Some cities in Metro Manila and towns in Rizal province might experience rotating power outage today (Oct. 8), according to the National Grid Corporation (NGC).
This came after a transformer in a power plant in Dolores, Taytay, Rizal, caught fire last night.
In a radio report, the NGC said there might be selective or rotating blackouts in some parts of Quezon City, Marikina, Taguig and Pasig, and portions of Angono, San Mateo, Taytay and Antipolo City in Rizal if the grid servicing these areas is not restored within the day.
